Our story

A mouse pad shouldn't be a subscription.

VEXQUIN exists because of one recurring moment: pulling a cloth pad out of the drawer, noticing the middle had gone shiny and the glide had gone soft, and realizing you'd be doing this again next year.

The problem

Cloth is a wear item pretending to be a fixture.

Every soft pad fails the same way. The weave flattens where your mouse lives, so the center gets slower than the edges. Dust, dead skin and skin oil work into the fibers and stay there. The stitched edge starts to lift. By month eight you're playing on a different surface than the one you bought — and you can't wash your way back to day one.

That's not a defect. It's what cloth is. A woven surface changes every time you use it.

So the question we started with wasn't "how do we make a better cloth pad." It was: what material doesn't have this failure mode at all?

If the glide lives in the material, it can't wear out of the material.

What we decided

Four decisions that made the product.

Most of the work wasn't picking glass. It was everything after that — the parts you only notice when they're wrong.

01

The etch, not the polish

A perfectly polished sheet of glass is unusable — the sensor has nothing to read. The surface is micro-etched to a fine, even texture: enough grip for tracking, not enough to feel gritty under the mouse.

02

Tempered, not just thick

Thickness without tempering is just weight. Tempering is what lets a 4 mm sheet survive shipping, daily use, and the occasional coffee mug set down too hard.

03

An edge that doesn't catch

A raw cut edge on glass is a wrist-scraper. Ours is chamfered and polished so your forearm crosses it without noticing — the detail people feel before they can name.

04

Full silicone, not corner dots

Four little feet let a heavy pad pivot. A full backing bonds the whole footprint to the desk, which is the difference between a pad that stays and one you straighten every round.

What we refuse

The things we left off on purpose.

No coating. A sprayed-on "speed layer" is the fastest way to claim performance and the fastest way to lose it. When the coating goes, the product goes with it.

No RGB, no logo screaming. The mark is etched, not lit. It's a surface you put your hand on, not a billboard.

No numbers we can't back up. You'll see millimeters and materials on this site, not invented "37% faster" statistics.

No review gifting. We don't trade product for stars, and we don't ask buyers to say anything they don't mean.

Who it's for

Honestly? Not everyone.

It's for you if you've replaced a cloth pad more than once, you like a fast surface with a hard stop, and you'd rather clean something in thirty seconds than wash and dry it overnight.

It's not for you if you want the soft, high-friction drag of a control cloth pad, you rest your wrist directly on the pad for hours and prefer cushioning, or you move your setup between desks constantly.

We'd rather say that up front than have you find out after the box arrives.

The name

VEXQUIN is a coined word — and that's the point.

It isn't Latin, it isn't a founder's surname, and there's no mythology behind it. We wanted a mark that reads sharp at 8 mm on a glass edge, spells cleanly in a search bar, and doesn't sound like a keyboard brand from 2014.

It's pronounced VEKS-kwin. The mark is a hexagon cut by an X — the V and X of the name, and the same chamfer language as the edge of the pad.

Where we are

New brand. Short track record. Long warranty of intent.

VEXQUIN is new — the trademark is filed, the first production run is small, and sales run through Amazon so shipping and returns are handled by a system you already trust.

What that means practically: if something arrives wrong, you're not filing a ticket into a void. You're emailing a person, and that person answers.
